The Student Association Senate is comprised of 38 senators representing all of the different undergraduate and graduate schools at George Washington University. The Executive Vice President, Ted Costigan, serves as the chairperson and presides over the meetings. The Senate is made up for four committees (Finance, Academic Affairs and Student Life, and Leadership) who are responsible for advocating on relevent issues. The Senate is also responsible for allocating over $1,000,000 to more than 400 student organizations.
There are several Senate seats available for interested students. Students who would like to apply for a vacant seat should e-mail Senate Chief of Staff Ryan Fanning. The open seats are:
